I noticed how many people around me were struggling with AI tools.
Not because AI is “too advanced”, but because most people simply don’t know where to start.
Friends, family, colleagues - everyone tried ChatGPT like a search engine, got weird or incorrect answers, assumed “AI doesn’t work”, and stopped caring. Others wanted to learn AI properly, but were overwhelmed by jargon, models, endless tools, and contradicting explanations.
Watching that frustration grow made me think:
What if someone built a simple, structured starting point for non-technical people…
… but still with enough depth that curious learners can grow further?
So a few months ago, I started building exactly that - and it gradually evolved into something bigger:
🚀 MentoroAI - now in open Beta
A beginner-friendly AI knowledge platform that explains the essentials step-by-step and makes AI practical rather than overwhelming.
Right now the platform includes:
✴️ a glossary with understandable explanations
✴️ a structured overview of AI tools
guides that teach topics from zero → to real application
✴️ ready-to-use prompt templates
✴️ real use cases to show how AI fits into everyday situations
✴️ comparisons of tools, models, and approaches
I also created an editorial workflow (Draft → Review → Rework → Publish), because later I want people to contribute guides, prompts, and case studies. For now I disabled registration - I want to get feedback first before handling any user data.
➡️ Tech stack: Django (backend), Django templates + TailwindCSS/DaisyUI (frontend).
