We’ve rolled out a new privacy enhancement on pdf-redaction.com:
automatic detection and redaction of headshot photos in PDF documents.
In addition to text-based PII/PHI redaction, the system now identifies portrait-style images of people (such as ID photos, profile pictures, and document headshots) and automatically redacts them. This helps prevent accidental exposure of visual identity data and improves compliance with privacy regulations like GDPR, HIPAA, and data minimization requirements.
No manual selection is required — headshot photos are detected during processing and redacted alongside sensitive text, making document anonymization faster, more accurate, and more complete.
