About Temp Mail You

Temp Mail is a free temporary email service at temp-mail.you. You open the site and there's a random disposable email address already generated. No signup form, no phone number, no personal information of any kind. Just an inbox that works. Copy the address and paste it into whatever is asking for your email. Signup forms, verification pages, download gates, free trial registrations, Wi-Fi login portals. The inbox receives everything a regular email account would. Verification links, OTP codes, confirmation emails, password resets, attachments. You read what you need, click the link or grab the code, and move on. After a few minutes the address and every message in it get permanently deleted from the server. Not archived somewhere, not sitting in a trash folder. Deleted. The address stops accepting mail and nobody can access what was there. If someone tries to send to it later, it bounces. We built temp-mail.you because the way most websites handle email collection has gotten out of hand. You can't do much online without typing your address into a form first. Read an article? Email. Download a template? Email. Try a SaaS tool for five minutes? Email. Get a discount code? Email. Each one of those forms adds you to a database. Some of those databases feed into marketing automation that emails you weekly for years. Some get sold to data brokers who resell your address to companies you've never heard of. Some get breached. The numbers on that last point aren't great. The 2024 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report found that over 30 percent of breaches involved stolen credentials. The average person has accounts on something like 100 to 150 online services. Each account is a row in a database somewhere, and each database is a potential source of leaked email and password pairs. When one of those accounts was created with a temporary address that expired the same day, the stolen credentials are useless. There's no inbox to break into, no password reset to trigger on other services, nothing to phish. That's the core idea. Your real email address is for things that actually matter. Banking, work, healthcare, cloud storage, social media you use every day. Everything else, the one time signups, the content you'll read once, the free trials you're just poking around in, gets a throwaway address. The site works on any device with a browser. Desktop, laptop, tablet, phone. There's nothing to install and no account to create. We also have browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Opera that put a temporary inbox directly in your toolbar. The extensions include automatic OTP detection that highlights verification codes as they arrive, one click copy to clipboard, QR code sharing so you can send the address to your phone, and notification alerts for incoming emails. Developers use temp-mail.you for testing signup flows and email deliverability in staging environments. Instead of using your personal inbox and ending up with 50 test emails mixed in with real ones, you open a fresh temp address for each test run. Need to test five different user registrations? Five tabs, five addresses, five separate inboxes. No shared state, no conflicts, no cleanup needed afterward. Students use it every semester when they sign up for tools their professor recommended. Grammarly trials, design tools, coding platforms, research database access. Most of these tools email you constantly once the trial ends, and a temp address means those follow up emails go nowhere. Online shoppers use it to grab discount codes without joining a mailing list. The "sign up for 10% off" popup works fine with a temporary address. You get the code, apply it at checkout, and never hear from them again. We run a blog at temp-mail.you/blog with guides on email privacy, spam prevention, and using disposable email with specific platforms. Posts cover topics like temp mail for ChatGPT, Discord, Netflix, Steam, Spotify, and a bunch of AI tools. Also comparisons between temporary email services and practical walkthroughs for common use cases. The site supports 20 languages and the inbox auto refreshes so you don't have to keep hitting reload. Everything runs in the browser with no external dependencies.

We built this because typing your real email into every website felt like a bad deal. Open the site, copy the address, use it wherever. Gone in a few minutes.
