About ACFT Calculator

Calculate Your ACFT Score Instantly by Event, Age Group, and MOS Category The Army Combat Fitness Test isn't just a fitness checkpoint. For thousands of soldiers, it's the difference between advancing in rank, qualifying for a competitive MOS, or having a promotion packet that actually gets noticed. Every point matters — and yet most soldiers walk off the test lane with only a rough idea of where they actually stand. That changes here. This ACFT score calculator gives you a complete, accurate breakdown of your performance — by individual event, by your age group, and by MOS category — so you're never guessing. You know your score. You know what it means for your career. And you know exactly what needs to improve. Why Most Soldiers Don't Know Their Real ACFT Score Ask ten soldiers what their ACFT score is, and most will give you a total number. Ask them how their deadlift compared to the standard for their age group, or whether their two-mile run time qualifies under their MOS category — and most of them go quiet. That gap is a real problem. The ACFT isn't scored the same way for every soldier. A 540-pound deadlift means something different for a 22-year-old than it does for a 38-year-old. A two-mile run time that earns maximum points in one age bracket might only land mid-range in another. And if you're in a physically demanding MOS, your minimum passing standards are higher across the board. Most generic score charts don't account for all of that at once. They give you raw numbers without the context that actually matters to your career. This calculator does it differently — you enter your results, select your age group, pick your MOS category, and instantly get a score that reflects the real Army standard applied to you specifically. What the Calculator Covers — Event by Event The ACFT has six events, each scored on a 0–100 scale with a total maximum of 600 points. The point values aren't linear — small improvements in certain events can yield big score jumps, while plateauing in others might be costing you more than you realize. 3 Repetition Maximum Deadlift (MDL) The deadlift is a pure strength indicator. Your score is determined by how much weight you lift relative to your age group's scoring scale. The calculator shows you exactly where your lift lands and how far you are from the next scoring tier — so you know whether adding 20 pounds to your max actually moves your score or not. Standing Power Throw (SPT) The power throw measures explosive strength. It's one of the events where age group standards vary most noticeably. The calculator applies your specific bracket so you see an accurate number, not a one-size-fits-all estimate. Hand Release Push-Up — Arm Extension (HRP) Muscular endurance under a two-minute clock. Your rep count translates into a point value that shifts based on your age group. The calculator shows your current score and the exact rep targets for each milestone above you — so you always train with a specific number to hit. Sprint-Drag-Carry (SDC) A timed event combining sprinting, sled dragging, lateral shuffling, and carry movements. Your time feeds directly into the scoring table. Even a few seconds of improvement can push you across a threshold — the calculator makes those thresholds visible before test day. Leg Tuck or Plank (LTK/PLK) The calculator handles both options. Enter your reps or your hold time and it scores accordingly. No separate lookup needed. Two-Mile Run (2MR) The run is where most soldiers either make up ground or give it back. Your finish time scored against your age group can swing your total by 20, 30, even 40 points compared to a generic chart. The calculator applies the correct age-adjusted standard automatically. Age Group Scoring — Why Getting This Right Matters The Army scores the ACFT across six age brackets: 17–21, 22–26, 27–31, 32–36, 37–41, and 42 and above. Standards shift between brackets — and not always in the direction soldiers expect. If you're using a generic scoring chart that doesn't account for your actual age group, you could be overestimating your score on some events and underestimating it on others. For promotion purposes, even a 5-point difference on your official record can matter. Promotion boards look at total scores. Selection boards for competitive assignments look at event-level performance. The calculator requires you to select your age group before generating any score. There's no default average. You get a number that reflects your actual standard — nothing approximated. MOS Category — The Part Most Calculators Skip This is where this tool separates itself from a basic score lookup. The Army designates every MOS into one of three physical demand categories: Significant Physical Demand (Black), Heavy Physical Demand (Gold), and Moderate Physical Demand (Gray). The minimum passing score for each event — and the total score required to pass — differs across these categories. If you're in an infantry, combat arms, or special opera
