The Problem: Information Asymmetry We live in an age of "Fifth Generation Warfare," where information is weaponized to bypass critical thinking. Fact-checkers are too slow and often biased themselves. We needed a tool that doesn't tell you what to believe, but shows you how the text is trying to manipulate you.
The Solution: Acuity (Anie) Acuity is a forensic analysis engine that sits in your browser (and mobile share sheet). It doesn't just read the text; it x-rays the narrative structure.
How it Works (The Stack): We engineered a hybrid "Pincer Movement" architecture to verify truth in real-time:
Reality Anchoring: We use a "Swarm Search" (Tavily) to cross-reference specific claims against a live index. We built a custom "Freshness Protocol" to detect when articles use 3-year-old stats to manufacture a current crisis ("Zombie Facts").
Intent Analysis: We use Grok (xAI) via a custom prompt pipeline to detect "Prescriptive Language"βwhen a journalist stops reporting and starts commanding.
The Ingestion Layer: We use Firecrawl to turn hostile, ad-heavy web pages into clean Markdown for the AI, bypassing anti-bot measures to get a pure read on the text.
Key Features:
π‘οΈ Forensic Scoring: Instant 0-100 Integrity Score.
π§ Cognitive Vectors: Breakdowns for Tribalism, High-Arousal Framing, and Logic Flaws.
π± Native Mobile Injection: We built a custom iOS/Android Share Extension that allows you to scan paywalled apps (like WSJ) directly from the Share Sheet.
π Privacy First: We don't sell user data. We sell the aggregate analysis of public URLs to B2B partners. Your reading habits remain yours.
Why we built it: To give high-agency individuals a "Bullshit Detector" for the modern web.

Hey everyone, maker here. π I built Acuity because I was tired of reading news that felt like it was trying to recruit me rather than inform me.
