Foxer is a web to-do list focused on fast interactions and local-first tasks.
It works offline, doesn’t require an account, and keeps your tasks on your device. The goal is simple: make writing, editing, and completing tasks feel smooth and easy to keep up with.
Recent updates include All / Today / Upcoming / Overdue filters, improved search, inline editing, drag & drop, and local import/export, so your tasks are never locked in.
Built in public and actively iterating based on feedback.
Foxer has been rebuilt with a strong focus on everyday usability and smoother interactions.
What’s new in v2.0 beta:
Filters: All / Today / Upcoming / Overdue
Improved search (not just basic text matching)
Inline task editing with better keyboard flow
Multi-select + drag to organize tasks faster
Import & export tasks locally (JSON)
Voice-to-task using Groq AI (free to use)
Fully offline by default. No accounts required.
Animations and the welcome flow have also been polished to make the first experience clearer and smoother.
Still early and evolving, but already much more solid than the previous version.
Feedback is very welcome.

Sometimes simple is very delightful. I've used apps like Things, TickTick and Todoist which results in me being overwhelmed at some point. Your web app is minimal to reduce the chance of overwhelm. Thank you.
Cool product! Though some short product marketing videos could help you with its growth. Try https://guideless.ai for creating AI-narrated walkthroughs like this in literally few mins https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JN0fKPMYBNI
Thanks, appreciate the suggestion! I’m currently focusing on short, no-narration clips to show the interactions directly, but I’ll keep this in mind if I explore guided walkthroughs later.
Good question.
They’re stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), not as a file on your desktop. That means the tasks stay on your device and in that browser only, unless you export them manually (In settings dropdown).

When you say the tasks are stored locally, do you mean as a file in your desktop for example?

Love the idea of a distraction-free task manager that doesn't need me to login or watch ads. Looks like it could help keep me focused.
Thanks! really happy it resonates 🙏 If you end up trying it, I’d love to hear what felt smooth and what can be improved.
