Goalfinder is a tool for founders and builders who want to validate ideas before committing to them. Idea Generator Describe a frustration or area of interest in plain language. Goalfinder returns four specific, buildable startup ideas — each with a revenue model, a retention mechanism, a concrete distribution channel, and the single most likely reason it fails. Ideas are distinct from each other and stress-tested against a validation checklist before being shown. Premium Generation An upgraded generation mode that runs live Brave searches before ideating. It identifies real existing products in the space, maps the gap each one leaves open, and uses that competitive intelligence to generate ideas that feel like independent solutions — not patches on incumbents. Costs one credit. Dive Deeper A full analyst-grade report on any idea, grounded in seven live search queries run at the moment of analysis. Returns: An overall idea score (1–10) with hard ceilings enforced by code based on competition, market, and difficulty sub-scores A failure thesis — the single most likely reason the idea dies, naming a specific competitor or structural dynamic A strengthener — one repositioning that improves the odds Market size, competition, and build difficulty scores with search-grounded context Five founder interview questions for user research Audience definition with channel recommendations Three niche angles to win before scaling MVP scope tied directly to competitor gaps Risk flags naming specific products or regulatory forces Build notes written directly to the founder: what to build vs. integrate, moat assessment, and the build trap to avoid Costs one credit. Reports Dive reports can be saved privately or published to a public feed. Published reports are visible to everyone and sortable by idea score or recency. Authors can toggle visibility, publish anonymously, and delete their reports. Admins can delete any public report. Credits & Membership Three tiers: Free — 3 idea generations per day, no deep analysis or premium generation Credits — $1 per credit or $5 for 10; credits unlock unlimited normal generation and are used one-at-a-time for Dive Deeper and Premium Generation; credits never expire Membership — $10/month; unlimited normal generation plus 180 credits per month for deep features; credits reset each month Community & Goals Users can publish their goal (the problem they're building for) to a public feed. Other users can like and comment. Goals are taggable and filterable by topic. Founding Builder Program The first 100 users to sign up receive a Founding Builder badge on their profile and $10 in advertising credits usable to promote goals or prototypes on the platform. Profiles & Onboarding Users set a username, follow topics they care about, and optionally provide location, birth year, and gender (used only for ad relevance, never shown publicly). Auth supports email/password, magic link, and password reset.
