**OneScan — Scan. Compare. Save.**
Ever stood in a store wondering if you're about to overpay? You pull out your phone, open Amazon, type the product name, check the price, then do the same on Walmart, Best Buy, eBay... 10 minutes later your battery is dying and you still aren't sure you found the best deal.
OneScan kills that friction entirely. One barcode scan, five major retailers, instant price comparison. No ads. No subscriptions.
**The Problem**
Amazon prices fluctuate up to 12 times per day. The same product often costs 20-40% less at a competitor. AirPods Pro might be $249 on Amazon and $189 at Best Buy on any given Tuesday. But nobody has time to check five retailer apps every time they pick up a product.
The average American spends $1,400+ per year on Amazon alone — and most people are overpaying without realizing it.
**How It Works**
1. Point your camera at any product barcode
2. See real-time prices from Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, and Kroger
3. Buy from the cheapest source
That's it. The entire flow takes under 5 seconds.
**What Makes OneScan Different**
This isn't a coupon app. It's not a cashback tool that pays you pennies three months later. OneScan is a real-time price intelligence tool that shows you the actual price at each retailer right now — including Prime eligibility, in-store availability, seller info, and deal badges.
- **5 Retailers**: Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, eBay, Kroger — the stores where most Americans already shop
- **Real Prices**: Live API data from each retailer, not scraped or cached from last week
- **Barcode Scanning**: Works with any standard product barcode (UPC/EAN)
- **Keyword Search**: Browse and compare products even without a barcode
- **Wishlist & Price Alerts**: Save products and get notified when prices drop
- **Scan History**: Track everything you've scanned with full price comparison data
- **Curated Deals**: Daily hand-picked deals across categories like electronics, gaming, home, kitchen, and more
- **Completely Free**: No premium tiers, no paywalls, no hidden fees
**Who Uses OneScan**
Everyday shoppers saving $15-30 per grocery run. Parents comparing toy prices before the holidays. Tech buyers making sure that new monitor is actually a good deal. Product resellers sourcing inventory at thrift stores and clearance racks (we've seen users flip a $35 Goodwill find for $180 on eBay).
Anyone who buys things and doesn't want to overpay.
**The Tech**
Built as a React Native (Expo) mobile app backed by a Python FastAPI service running on GCP. Each retailer integration is a first-party API connection — Amazon Creators API with OAuth 2.0, Walmart Affiliate API with RSA-SHA256 signing, eBay Browse API, Best Buy Products API. No scraping, no middlemen, no stale data.
The backend uses an abstract retailer interface, so adding new retailers is straightforward. Kroger was the fifth addition and the architecture made it clean.
**Traction**
- 4.9 star rating
- 1M+ products compared
- $500K+ in user savings
- Available on iOS and Android
**Privacy**
We don't sell user data and we don't serve ads. The app earns affiliate commissions when users purchase through retailer links — that's the entire business model, and we're transparent about it.
**What We're Building Next**
We're expanding retailer coverage and building out community features like shared deal lists and a referral-powered promo code marketplace. The goal is to make OneScan the default thing you open before buying anything.
**Free to download. One scan saves you money.**

I literally just downloaded and scanned two things and realized I overpaid for something I just bought yesterday... Lol. Good app, will use it moving forward
We got tired of checking 5 apps every time we wanted to know if a price was fair. So we built OneScan — one barcode scan, five retailers, real-time prices, under 5 seconds. No ads, completely free.
