🌱 PlantCareAI — calm, weather-aware plant care
I built PlantCareAI because I kept second-guessing my plants.
I’d read care guides, set reminders, and still end up wondering:
- Should I water today, or did it rain enough already?
- Why are my leaves drooping even though I followed the rules?
- Am I overthinking this?
PlantCareAI is a free web app that uses plant details + local weather + AI to help answer those everyday plant-care questions without guilt or pressure.
A few things that early users have surprisingly resonated with:
- Weather-aware watering guidance (apparently we’ve all overwatered because we forgot it rained)
- Non-judgmental tone (“It doesn’t make me feel bad” came up more than once)
- The idea of photo journaling to see plant progress over time
This is very much a build-in-public project. I’m actively iterating, fixing edge cases, and learning from real usage rather than assumptions.
If you’re a builder, plant person, or just curious:
- I’d love feedback on what feels helpful vs confusing
- I’m especially interested in UX clarity, trust, and whether the advice feels usable in real life
It’s free to try while I’m testing and improving it:
