So I’ve been working on a side project called Reddit Thread Summarizer and I finally have a working version that I think might be useful to others too.
Basically, it takes long Reddit threads (like those with 100+ comments or deep discussions) and generates clean summaries. You can choose between short, medium, or long summaries depending on how much detail you want.
Some key features:
🧵 Summarizes entire threads (even the messy ones)
🔥 Option to see trending threads and summarize those directly
💬 Sentiment analysis – get a feel of the overall tone
✅ Action items & notes – great for advice-based threads or AMAs
🏆 Shows top comments and notable ones you might otherwise miss
📩 Built-in feedback form to improve results over time
I originally built it because I got tired of reading through 300-comment threads for just a few useful bits, and I figured I might not be the only one.
Now the part I could use some help with:
Do you think this is something people would actually pay for?
If so, what kind of pricing would make sense (monthly sub, one-time, freemium model, etc)?
Any feature ideas or UX feedback are more than welcome too.
If anyone’s interested in trying it out or helping me shape it into something better, I’d be super grateful.
