About SkillHQ

SkillHQ — The Marketplace for AI Skills SkillHQ is the first paid marketplace for AI agent skills. Developers buy production-ready Claude Code SKILL.md packages and Custom GPT configurations, then install them with a single CLI command. Skill creators publish their work and keep 85% of every sale. The problem The AI tooling ecosystem is fragmented. Developers spend hours searching GitHub for prompts and configurations that may or may not work. Free directories like AgentSkill.sh and Skills.sh list 100,000+ skills with zero quality gates — anyone can publish anything. There's no reliable, curated source for production-ready AI skills, and no way for creators to earn from the skills they build. How SkillHQ works For buyers: Browse the marketplace, purchase a skill (priced €2–€50), and run skillhq install <name> to drop it directly into your project. No manual copying, no folder juggling, no guessing if it works. For sellers: Package your AI skill, publish it to the marketplace, connect Stripe once, and earn 85% of every sale. No listing fees. No monthly minimums. SkillHQ handles payments, delivery, and anti-piracy protection. Every skill passes automated validation before it goes live — structure checks, content analysis, and security screening. This isn't another directory of unreviewed files. It's a quality-gated marketplace where buyers pay for skills they can trust. Key features — One-command CLI install: skillhq install <name> drops the skill directly into your ~/.claude/skills/ folder. Native Claude Code workflow, no workarounds. — Automated quality validation: Every listed skill passes structure, content, and security checks before buyers see it. No broken skills, no malicious payloads. — Anti-piracy protection: Every download is fingerprinted with invisible watermarks. SimHash paraphrase detection catches copies — even rewritten ones. Full DMCA takedown process included. — 85% seller revenue share: The most generous split in the AI tools space. Zero listing fees, zero monthly subscriptions. Stripe Connect handles payouts to 45+ countries. — Auto-refund policy: If a buyer never downloads the skill file, they get an automatic refund. Sellers only earn when buyers actually use the skill. Who it's for Buyers: Developers and teams building with Claude Code or Custom GPTs who want validated, installable AI skills without the hours of GitHub hunting. Sellers: Developers who've built effective AI skills and want a real monetization path — not just GitHub stars. Why not free alternatives? Free directories have volume (100,000+ listings), but volume isn't quality. No validation. No install tooling. No monetization for creators — which means no incentive to build and maintain high-quality skills. SkillHQ treats AI skills like npm packages: installable, versioned, validated, and worth paying for. GitHub is for free. SkillHQ is for production. Business model Transaction-based. SkillHQ takes a 15% commission per sale. No subscription fees for buyers or sellers. Skills are priced between €2 and €50. Stripe Connect handles all payment processing and seller payouts.

We killed our KYC requirement and started allowing free skills.

The casual builder who just wrote a useful skill on a Sunday afternoon doesn't want to upload their passport to find out if anyone will pay €5 for it. So we rebuilt seller onboarding around two tiers: Starter (default) - No KYC. No bank details. Just an email and a PayPal address for payouts. - Publish in under 60 seconds. - 80% revenue share. - SkillHQ acts as Merchant of Record (we handle Stripe Tax for buyers). - On-demand PayPal payouts (€20 minimum, 1 free per month). Pro - Full Stripe Connect KYC. - 85% revenue share, payouts straight to your bank. - Auto-upgrades when you hit the EU DAC7 threshold (€2k/yr or 30 transactions). ------ We also turned on free skills (€0). This was harder for me to greenlight — we're a paid marketplace, why list free stuff? Two reasons: 1. ClawHub creators are reportedly making €600–€20k/month selling skills off-platform via Gumroad, but the discovery layer is the free directories. Free skills are how builders earn an audience before they earn money. 2. "Free with a paid premium version" is one of the most natural funnels in software. We were blocking it for ideological reasons. Now you can ship a free skill, build install count + reviews, then publish a Pro version next to it. Same creator, same surface, no friction.

A marketplace for Claude Code and AI skills is a smart niche. As AI-assisted coding grows, having a curated place to find and sell specialized skills for specific models is going to be really valuable.

A common marketplace for AI skills is genuinely innovative. Saves a ton of dev effort by letting folks reuse what's already proven on the market instead of reinventing it every time. Rooting for this one, keep shipping!

A marketplace for AI skills is something I didn't know I needed until now. The whole AI tools space is growing so fast and having one place to find and share skills makes a lot of sense. Bookmarking this.

Think npm, but for AI agent skills. Buy production-ready Claude Code skills and install with one CLI command. Or sell yours and keep 85%. Every skill is validated before listing. No listing fees.
