GoodGit is an AI powered platform that automatically generates clean, conventional, and meaningful commit messages based on your code changes. It removes the hassle of manually writing and formatting commits while ensuring consistency across teams. Developers can use it through a CLI or a modern web dashboard that syncs repositories, tracks commit quality, and provides analytics on coding activity.
For teams, GoodGit acts as a centralized productivity layer for managing commit standards, collaboration, and compliance. It offers customizable rules, team analytics, and repository management features, making it easy for engineering leads to maintain clean histories, enforce best practices, and improve overall code quality without slowing down development.
Previously Team Tier users could only create 1 team, and regular users could only join one. With this new update you can belong to multiple work teams and team manager can create more than 1 team

So here you have a built in analytics page, review management, custom rules that team leaders can enforce (so the AI automatically follow those rules), etc
GoodGit started as a small weekend idea to make my own Git commits cleaner, and it slowly evolved into a full platform for AI assisted commit generation, analytics, and team management.

What is the difference from let's say letting Claude write the commit message?
